Originally from New York  Paul Harris is a London based freelance photographer.

Comfortable working in both conventional and digital formats he has a special fondness for silver printing, the 'old fashion method' of making photographs by hand using chemicals in a darkroom, his area of interest being architecture, both urban and rural, with a particular emphasis on night photography.

Graduating from  the City University of New York where he was awarded a scholarship by the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst, Paul came  to London after living in Los Angles, San Francisco, Bonn and Montréal to pursue Master’s Degree in International Relations however 9/11 and the subsequent events left him disillusioned.

He decided to follow his passion for photography which dates back to childhood and after completing his photographic studies, with distinction, has worked for various companies wanting to establish a presence on the web providing both images and copy.

The photographers who have informed/influenced his aesthetic sense include: Brassaї, Alfred Stieglitz, Ansel Adams, Edward  Weston, Dorothea Lange, Sam Tata, Troy Paiva, Larrie Thomson and Luc Lavoie.

'It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it. It would be difficult to dispel ignorance unless there is freedom to pursue the truth unfettered by fear.'  Daw Aung San Suu Kyi  dassk.org/
